About

me1

Originally from Leeds, I trained in Stage Management and Technical Theatre at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

After working in professional theatre in London and on tour, I became disillusioned with short contracts and having no base – so applied to the BBC for work experience.

In my time I’ve been a bar manager, box office clerk, stage manager, stage hypnotist, radio producer and radio presenter.

I have counselling qualifications, and have been a volunteer at The Samaritans in the past.

I have worked for the BBC in local radio now since 1995 at Radio Humberside, Radio York and Radio Leeds as well as a short spell in independent radio at Fox FM in Oxford

I currently work for the BBC as Communities Editor – putting on large events in Yorkshire & Lincolnshire.

I love stand up comedy – and hosting events of all kinds – please get in touch if you’d like my services! Click on the COMEDY tab above.

Still manage to pull on the dungarees and do panto every year (since 2000) playing Silly Billy, the daft lad(!).
